Winter wedding colors
Winter light is thin and often tungsten indoors. These palettes use a jewel or ink color for the party, a pale neutral near faces, and one metal. They are built for chapels, lofts, and evening rooms, not for noon sun.
Plum & Wasabi Green Wedding Colors
Keep plum as the main dress and flower color, and use wasabi green as a sharp accent in ties, ribbons, and a few stems. Ivory stops the pair from feeling costume-like, charcoal is the suit, and antique gold is the metal. This is a contrast palette: wasabi should stay in small areas. If both colors cover equal square footage, photos look graphic instead of formal. The Knot's 2027 notes include plum and wasabi green as a sophisticated cold-weather contrast.
Emerald & Champagne Wedding Colors
Emerald is the main jewel for dresses or for a velvet jacket and the bouquet, champagne is the neutral-metal bridge, ivory is the paper and linen, forest is the deep suit color, and gold is the metal. Winter rooms are dark. Emerald holds its color in that light better than sage does. Champagne has to stay out of yellow-gold territory or the whole palette turns brass. Use emerald once, at full strength, and let champagne be the color people actually stand next to.
Navy & Silver Wedding Colors
Navy is the main for suits and a dress option. Silver is the metal, used in flatware, earrings, and a thin ribbon, not as a dress color. Ice blue is the accent, white is the neutral, and graphite is the deep ink. Pinterest has called silver a go-to wedding metal. Silver fails when it is the only light color, because flash turns it into a white blob. Ice blue and white give the camera somewhere to land that is not a mirror.
Garnet & Ivory Wedding Colors
Garnet is the main, clearer and slightly bluer than merlot, for dresses and flowers. Ivory is the neutral and the bridal dress. Evergreen is the accent foliage and a tie color, black is the formal suit, and gold is the metal. Deep reds are a 2027 direction. Garnet needs ivory in the same photograph or it turns into a dark red mass. Evergreen is here so the palette is not only red, white, and metal, which can look like a holiday card if you are not careful with the greens.
